‘’Winter is coming’, ‘Valar morghulis’ , words that meant nothing to me before watching Game of Thrones. With no doubt the best series ever made, in my eyes. With 5 seasons already broadcasted an number 6 coming out every week, they are setting the bar high for themselves. In the story there are 2 fictional continents named Westeros and Essos, this is where several storylines mingle. A war for the Iron throne of the seven Kingdoms is the bassline, but it’s so much more than this battle. Every single time I thought something was going to happen, the exact opposite was about to go on. You could never know what was going to happen next, for me that is something revelatory. The characters are very complex and dissimilar, that’s what makes it so marvelous to watch. They are certainly worthy of all the prices they managed to receive. Some people say they don’t like stories that are fictive, I could say the same for me. But Game of Thrones is just something else, you can’t compare it to anything you have ever laid eyes on. I’m very impatient to see the next episode. It is ompossible for me to wait until the dvd-box is available. So the only option is to watch in English. The words they use are sometimes older and more sophisticated. This is why I learn a lot when I’m watching Game of Thrones.
