I’ve found the perfect blog or should I say blogs. Although I will have to disappoint you: they are pretty girly. My passion for food, travelling, fashion and some other random topics are combined in both. My first blog is www.ellaandlouise.com, although I don’t know why, because the writers are Marijs and Patricia. It must be a nickname they gave themselves.  The name of the blog doesn’t really give you much information about the topic. One of the reasons is probably because they talk about a few different things. Style, mood, places and street are the titles you can pick. Perfectly my cup of tea. The other blog is actually from Marijs, the same Marijs as my previous blog of course. Her blog is called ‘rooftop antics’, she focusses more on traveling and everything that comes along. I was reading them both trying to decide on which was most suitable for me. Until I had read so much that I realized I had to talk about both of them.

Firstly I would like to introduce you to Louise, also known as Patricia. She is a 26-yearold fashionista with all the same addictions as me. Tv-series, popcorn and shopping can keep her busy all day and I can perfectly say the same thing about myself. Other passions are vintage and classic Hollywood movies. You can find her in London or Barcelona, walking the streets, getting together with friends or working. She has the cutest online shop that she manages together with her mom. I had a sneak-peak on the website, Lily and the Lady, it had beautiful dresses, but unfortunately with large price-tickets. What I like about her is that she gets very personal in her posts. She talks about her own new apartment, the changes in her closet, what’s specifically on her mind and her darkest secret (being a fan of the Backstreet Boys).

Marijs, or should I say Ella,  is a talented women. She has her own style and is not afraid to admit she’s addicted to fashion. Changing clothes 3 times a day, even if they are well-chosen and they sit perfectly. Yeah, that’s being addicted alright. But  it would be weird if she wasn’t, working for a certain popular Italian Jeanslabel. Besides fashion, she loves: her ‘lovable and amazing’ pets (her own words), Copenhagen where it all began, browsing through cookbooks (she doesn’t say anything about actually cooking), Chanel 2.55, Christmas decorations and Peter pan collars. I have no idea what is meant with Peter pan collars, but I looooveee Christmas. The whole atmosphere that comes along with this celebration, the decoration, the little twinkly lights… Isn’t it the best time of the year?

A few years ago she decided  to create her own blog. Rooftop antics will be the story of Marijs crossing the world with a fabulous wardrobe and a backpack. She spends her time reporting about experiences most people can only dream about, while eating her way through the country. Everything started with a one way ticket to India and the rest is history.

The aspect that convinced me to look further on their website were the stunning pictures. When I found out they are self-made, I was amazed. The visual part of your blog is very important to attract readers, they use that very good. In 2012 and 2013 they actually received an award for their work in this blog. You don’t just get the weekend ‘blog award’, you have to deserve it and they do!

But now I will talk some more about Marijs and her personal blog: ‘rooftopantics’. The last couple of weeks she posted on Fashion, traveling, food and some other inspirational subjects. She really has her own style when you look In the fashion department. Some tips on how to wear bandanas is not something you see very often in a blog about fashion. She also tells you how to nail your airport outfit. This seems a bit silly, but everyone know how inconvenient it is when you are traveling in uncomfortable clothes. But when you want to be comfortable, how can you be stylish?
